stock michelin tire pressure question

i run mostly unloaded and the stock michelins are still at the tire pressure from when deilvered, well over 50psi. i have read posts in the past that guys lower the pressure to make it ride better, any ideas what i should lower it to?

any affect on handling and tire wear?

thanks

mine had 75lbs . I dropped down 35 in rear 40 in front or until it looks like they're not sagging. Better ride

I keep my tires at 60psi. When I have my camper loaded I increase pressure to 75. I think the ride is better. I got about 30,000 on michelins.

i tried to check mine with a mechanical guage and they were so high, well past 50, i have yet to check with a electronic gauge.

My ride is very bouncy, especially on the highway.

Accurate statement. I think I run mine at about 42 in rear and about 50 in front. The pressure makes a big difference in ride quality.

I usually keep em around 50# all the way around.
Ride seems to be ok but needing shocks.

Check your manuals. I had one the showed loaded and unloaded air pressures. I usually kept mine at 55 psi front and 50 psi rear without a load. I would't drop much below 50 on the front with the weight of a deisel, plus the lower the pressure the more heat build up in the tires.

When empty I run 60 front, 50 rear. More interested in the handling than the ride.

I keep mine at 60#'s all the way around, just wondering how you got only 30,000 miles out of you michelins. I have the stock LTX A/S style and just got new ones at 96000. I hope this set last that long.

I could be wrong but I think he means 30,000 miles so far, not total. I hope they go more than 30k.

I keep mine at 70 front and 60 rear unloaded. Getting very good wear and mostly highway driving for me.

i checked my pressure after about 30 miles ( i know i know) and the reading of the digital gauge was 50psi at all tires. i wonder if i am maxing out my gauges and need to get one for these high of pressur tires?

for as bouncy as i think the ride is i think the tires have more than 50psi of air, especially when hot.
