Meeting Scotty
On saturday I had the opportunity to meet Scotty. He was in Immenstadt for a competition of the world strongmancup series, and he had a fuel pressure gauge for me to replace the one that went out. That's what I call customer service!
Before having seen those guys there I thought of myself as being quite muscular. Now I know that I'm a mere matchstick against these human bridgepoles
- talk about my wife nagging me to get back into the chamber of muscular torture immediately

Anyways, a big "Thank You" to Scotty for being here, bringing the gauge and explaining lots of the incomprehensible things about this sports to me. It's amazing to see people compete on the time to lift stuff into trucks where ordinary people would call for two helpers and a forklift.

The trip was a blast and the fire was lit again for me to get at the comps.
Even after having a knee scope recently I was still able to hoist the 400 kg tire for a flip and well I tried a few other things and realized that just cuz I could move it did not mean I could compete.
Markus, it was great to meet you and your wife. Thanks for driving 500 kilometers to see the show.
When I told The DADDY Glen Ross that you came that far...well you saw the look on his face. He had to come meet you.

I was taken back by quite an offer I got at the show...
Apparently a vote and a meeting lead to me being offered the position of Chairman for all of the World Strength Council.

I had the pleasure of meeting Scotty a few weeks ago when he was out my way.
He really is a great guy.

Scotty is just a little guy
Here is a pic of Scotty, Gary(willyslover) and myself. it was couple of summer ago in Calgary, the folks up there thought we where brothers.
