Mailbox solicitations from your dealer?
Does anyone else get the flyers from your local dealership saying they want to buy back your truck, with an attached voucher for $xxxx towards a down payment on a new vehicle?
I just want this junk to stop
Gotten this stuff for a couple years now and it irritates me.
How do I get off that mailing list?
The flyers are sent out by Hearst Business Media Corp. and their Black Book media program.
I want to go rip my dealer a new one for selling my info.

I get 'em all the time...trying to "buy back" a truck they never sold me in the first place. They always include a flyer for some incredible deals but then have an * and "diesel vehicles extra" on the bottom somewhere!
What gets me mad is the way they try to disguise the mailer to look official, or like a card etc.

Right?
It irks me that they want to buy my baby because someone else wants it.
Uhh, get yer own! I want mine too!
If there's a postpaid return envelope in junk mail I get, I stuff everything in that envelope, and send it off. A couple of times paying a buck or so postage to get nothing gets your name off the list.
These don't usually have a return envelope, but look like a check in the window and invite you in to sell you something while trying to steal your truck away, or are like a pamphlet with loads of coupons that don't include diesels, even though they know I have one.
We not only get the mailings, but phone calls from Hendrick Honda in Easley, SC where we bought our Honda Odyssey a couple of years ago. What is really weird about the phone calls is that we moved 10 months ago and have an unlisted number, we didn't have a land line at our other home, and they call on that number. I have no idea how they got it.
I also got a call from Discover asking for the previous owner on our land line (unlisted). That one was really weird.

I also had to make a trip to the dealer telling them how irritated I was that they had given out my address. To their credit, they did make it stop.
