See ya'll later. I don't know if I'll be on after I leave today, so it might be Friday night before I'm back on. It will be my first time driving in snow, hope I don't suck.

BEER!!! (where's the hic-up smilie?)
No worries Mark, I ALWAYS identify the target before I fire just pay attention to the signs when you get here and walk between the little flags I put out to get you safely through the minefield.....I hope they will still be visible, they are only 10 inches tall and it is still snowing here ......

When you reach the sallyport, keep your hands in plain view and repeat the password until I buzz you through. Ignore the claymores surrounding the sallyport..they are merely there for decoration...

Have a safe trip!

That's ok, you want to be one of those kinds of officers... I'll let you fall on your face real bad one time, then you will know the meaning of "Senior Enlisted Advisor"... I have helped many a good 2nd and 1st Lt's out in the begining. Very smart and able people, but a little too anxious to change the world... Now I'm working for them, and they forgot all about me... Silly officers... I mean, "Aye, SIR!"

Maybe that's why you were sleeping in the trailer the other night... you don't have to send anything back, I don't want your OL to slip me a little something extra in my brownie and mess me up... there will be a note saying..."Send something else and see what happens!"

I'm watchin for the mail man...

What does me not being able to drive in the snow have to do with some mountain dew?

Head still hurts... It's a little cool here, too...

No sir. I aint looking to change the world. Just do what little I can to help. You know me, I aint the type to go in hot headed. I have heard plenty of stories about the master land navigator 2nd LT's, the know it alls. I know there is a LOT you can learn for your mean, and especially your NCOs. You gotta work hand in hand with them. Your team is as good as its weakest link, and God knows that if and when I become a 2nd LT I will not be the weakest link.

Hanging in here Heidi,
Stuck in the cave with beautiful weather outside. I may have to come down with a 15 minute virus (just long enough to tell the boss and head out the gate) and go to the house and do some more work on the powerplant for the mill. Oldest g-son might get upset if he's not there with me to help/learn.
Staying busy & wishing I could at least hire some temporary help. Got a trip down south in the works, along with a trip to Ft. Hood, and a retirement seminar, all in the same timeframe. May have to postpone the Hood trip for a couple of weeks and head to Ft. Drum instead.
Belly is full after lunch so I think I will...............

Afternooner time,

NW Houston, low 70's a breeze, and sunshine. 5er and Bob are basking at the turtle pool. Saw on AOL news about the snake that ate a family dog. The snakes here are small.
Was at much older and much much wiser sisters and we were making the list of rounds to do when the school called. Grandkidlette struck down by internal disorders and got a "get out of jail free" card. I went a picked her up so the rounds with sis on hold. Nothing critical. Got my must do now jobs done.

Kthiemann, keep it quite on the western front. My wife worked for a charter bus company when were were in Sedro-Woolley WA. The big fancy ones are pricey. Got to go on some company trips on them, ball games and such. Fun.

SR, Got a time when you gonna be at Ft Hood? Got a son in the army there, and we are planing to stop there and drop off some tool on the way back from AZ. Be about March 11 or so. Don't know my way around there at all.

JB pick the HATs brain for good info on being a Marine. In my opinion it would be a good way to go. It has a lot to offer.
Wanna be any pix you post would be appricated. YOur pix are always interesting. When I lived in WA state we went to the Calgary Stampede a few time. A lot of excitement and fun. Don't know if they still do the sucide dash.

HAT, driving in snow can be fun. Be careful. A visit to TOP, now that should be interesting. Driving on pavment is an experience for Ijobb.

ChrisR sounds like things are getting better. Take care.
Old dog, relax and enjoy nature and the weather, just HANG ON

Time to bail #2 kidlett out of the think tank.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Nope .... still seperate rates. They were talking about combining HT, DC & MR at one time but it didn't happen. I was kinda excited about it since I was and MR and a DC during my time.

Foul weather finally broke and there is blue sky again !! Made it a short day so I could get a look-see around this town. Hoping to find a decent steak this evening. May have to do my own butchering by the looks of it ... .

Enjoy the evening everyone ....

I thought my ears were ringing. I was an MR2 when I got out. To even think of joining MR (highly skilled, good looking machinists) with HT's (blacksmiths with an attitude) DC's (do nothings until the ship is sinking) is like joining the Army & Marines. or the Navy & Coast Guards (Alaska is over seas dudty to the CG)

Okay, my work here is done. I'll be sitting in the corner waiting for the Marines, HT's, DC's, and Coasties, to show up.

This is gonna hurt.

I'm weathered in at home. If you are gonna be weathered in, home is the place to do it.

I can't wait until I can build a plane with a CTD in it!

Hehehehe .... that's why cross-rated from MR to DC. I was too dang ugly and was pretty fond of "doing nothing" .

Cheers,
