Look in your mirror, look over your shoulder, THEN change lanes....

... Otherwise you might get up close and personal with a big ol western star. A guy in Quebec City did not follow proper procedure this morning. He is currently shopping for a new car, I need a bumper and steps.
He was on my right side in an exit only lane, decided he didn't want to exit, so without looking he cut left, putting his rear quarter panel into my front bumper, now I know what a pit manoeuvre looks like first hand. Buddy in the car did half a loop infront of me, smashed my driver side front bumper in with his driver side front bumper, sailed off into the jersey wall, then slid back over and ht my driver side with his passenger side, then he took another bite out of the jersey wall. Police report says the car driver was at fault.

I didn't get any pictures of the car as this happened at rush hour, and it wasn't really safe to be on the road taking pics, but the car was so beat up, that I don't know what make/model it was....

I bet he needed a clean pair of underwear too!! Nothing like spinning sideways with a semi in your passenger door. Glad everyone's alright.

Maybe someone needs to make a side view mirror "App" for the "smart phones".
It's getting so the phones are waaaaaay smarter than the drivers using them.

ok, I had a good chuckle over the story.

I was east bound i-40 near the arkansas / oklahoma boarder. Topped a hill and saw the remnants of someone in a pink caddy that probably had tried to do the same thing. As i finally got and looking in between the emergency vehicles, I realized the back half of the car was in the median, the front half was still wrapped up under the trailer. The occupant compartment was where the vehicle was literally twisted in half.

Glad your rig is ok, and the other driver lived long enough to learn something.

He's real lucky your cow catcher held up, and he didn't go under the tires.

Pretty rig you got there.

People are just stupid. Had a Kia come around me crossing the viaduct into McCook, pulled out into the oncoming lanes on a bind hilltop to pass me, because I was 10 feet wide and preferred to have both lanes and no one beside me while making my turn. He managed to stick it into about a half a lane width between my cab and the signs. Think he thought if he drove into my side I would move over. Glad I didn't end up proving him wrong. Even though it might have been worth it.

Had another car pull out of the car wash beside me, then go and tailgate our other truck. We came out of the field on a minimum maintanence road, no gravel, just graded dirt. He got dust and chaff all over his wet, freshly washed car. Then when we turned off to scale the load, he started passing on the right, with 4 brakes lights and 2 right turn signal lights going.

Just noticed that this happend when I was gone.
Glad it turned out ok except for the hassle of the report.
Did you get things fixed yet?
Kind of amazed the guy wasn't on a cell phone because thats what I have been having to dodge lately.
