Good morning. In that a certain person did not make the traditional morning drinks, here is your hot coffee and ph00 to start the day.

If the dog days of summer are over and a nip is in the air, does that make it dognip days?

Drink some of the coffee Stan. Yer a bit short of coherent so far today.

It's been a little warmer than usual around here. The Haralson apples like a couple of 26-28 degree nights to set the sugars, and they haven't seen that yet. Just a couple of 30's.

Good thing. Ordered some heaters on fleabay for the water works in the fiver so I could run into the fall. One seller thinks "quick ship" means package it up and hand it to UPS 3 days after the money. Might not get the parts in time.

Anybody have a dozen feet of 12V self regulating heat trace laying around? Thinking of using Ray-Chem 120V cable and putting in a small inverter just for that one cable. If I get serious about winter camping I might have to put a couple of golf cart batteries in the truck and a bigger alternator.

Anyway, gotta get prettied up (as Elderrbob would say) and go to church. Then get back to fixing the truck and trailer up for a long pull.

Must be something in the air. Maybe I am falling short of coherency.

Nice morning to hose off the cars and trucks. Not enough juice in MY battery to wax them all, but maybe one or two.

I made mention of the "no alchohol" in last weeks peach pie to the guy that gave it to me. Turns out, he gave me the jar with peaches and a tiny bit of shine. Mostly flavored water to cut with. I sure feel better knowing I'm not THAT tolerant to shine! I did tell him to try again.......

Have a great week,

Bye!

Full on turkey dinner set out.
It's Thanksgiving up here. Or in Coug's case, down here.
Stanadian, stick with fixing lawnmowers.

I'm going to act like a leaf in the fall and leave/fall.

Tool of the day, leaf rake. All this high wind and hot air has stripped the trees bare.

Nice day to go fly or something here. Too bad I don't have a plane handy.

Folks in MT said they are having 60 plus winds today. THAT part of MT, i don't miss so much.

Got the computer going to day for the first time in weeks.
Was going to go fishing but slept all afternoon.
Over 50 hours since Wednesday morning cutting beans.
Still tired.
Was going to ask neighbor girl if she'd like to go fishing with me, too.
14 hour days worked better when living 4 minutes from work, but I did bring the truck and a load of corn to town 3 nights this week, which helped a lot.
Off to play some pool.

yes, 65-75 degree weekend!!!

private horse racing for charity, hoity toity crowd, VIP passes. awesome food. trophies for best field buffet (think tailgating with crystal and silver)
B-17 and W-7 flyovers for fall foliage flights as well as fun weiner dog races and field dog contests. a private fox hunt was held the previous day/evening.

on to a costume party with soooo good bbq chicken and pork. nice folks and a totally dark hide n seek game in the forest. three legged race won by a marine calling cadence. too fun.

up early for chores and horse farrier visit; then clean up and head to large town family "pig roast" been going on for forty years. if you weren't family, you are now. bright sunshine, excellent trays of sweets, salads, meats and fresh beer, apple cider and hay rides. never saw such a happy, friendly bounty like that, all hidden in a serene farm in the "holler" or glen as they say here. wow. Blessed this weekend. hope you all were as well.

Gusting to 120 kph here.
Here's what I have never understood...why would you drive a semi in this? Several reports of vehicles overturned.
Some of the gusts are rattling the house.

We had a water spout (tornado over water) move into Tampa Bay yesterday over the Sunshine Skyway bridge - - hit a big semi mail truck, buckled it and turned it over. Someone filmed it and all you could see was mail blowing everywhere in the air into the bay. That should be interesting. How many "entitlement" checks were in that mail?
