One other thing to think about your situation may be different but my family and I travel alot when were gone everyone misses each other but when were home we dont actually see everyone that much anyway. It seems like a big deal but unless the grandparents are a part of your kids lives everyday they actually wont miss out on much.


You have do do whats best for your family that is the only thing that matters everyone else will see that it is for the best and if they dont who cares you probably dont need that kind of selfishness around anyway.

One other note is if you and your wife have always been close to your parents then definitely do it you will only have each other to count on instead of the folks. It will make your whole family closer.
