Hot Vs Cold Water Cleaning A Truck?

Tomorrow i am having a plumber install a soft water hookup in my garage so I can clean my vehicles in my garage with soft water to prevent spots. I have the option for $85 more to have hot water also......should I spring for it also or not.....it is $185 for the cold hooked up.

Does hot water clean better....thanks.

That's cheaper than buying a hot water pressure washer.

Hot water is helpful.

I would want to have hot anyway, even if not for car washing purposes.

The hot water mixed with soap helps break down the dirt a lot better than cold water does. Cold water basically just rinses the dirt off where hot water will actually clean it off.

only dawn or any other dishwashing soap would take your wax off, hot water would have no adverse effect. If you used car soap then your ok.

Weatherby460,it shouldn't of taken off the wax,not unless you used dishwashing liquid.

Hot water is very good to use. Hot water is more soluble than cold water(it can dissolve dirt and grime quicker). One of those hot water pressure washers would be real good to use as well.
