I've searched high and low and I can't find a video or audio clip. I'm hoping that someone will know where to find one.

I haven't heard a Jacobs Exaust Brake on a 3rd gen yet. Hows it sound? I heard it on a 2nd Gen and it was kind of disappointing. I know its not an engine brake, but I still expected it to sound close to one.

im sure it will sound almost the exact same.

they are two complete different animals. the engine brake holds the valves, the exhaust brake holds the exhaust. Just like a lot of air passing through a small hole.

Sounds way better if...
  • You got straight pipe exhaust...Even stock 3" inch...
  • You have a BHAF installed...
Coming down a hill with a heavy load on your truck and switching the brake on and off with the use of you trans mounted switch... I get a good BAAAAHHHHH in the cab on the passenger side. But outside it a good HIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSS noise...

I still love it though!

If I've got time I'll try and record some sound clips of mine...

without the muffler, and with the quad intake and airraid intake pipe, it sure sounds good. get really funny looks from other drivers. doesnt quite sound like a kenworth, but it is close.

ruquik, that's pretty good. But for a ring tone, I think we need something a little more pronounced.

No Jake Brakes!!!

My info here isn't worth much, but my buddies do have a band named No Jake Brakes.

www.nojakebrakes.com

I can't find a good sound file either. I was behind a sweet old Pete yesterday on I-35 and he jaked it on the off ramp. It was way cool.
