So, I have a question.
Who here would object to states having the right to decide whether or not abortion is legal?
You see, I do not believe that abortion affects the future of the United States at all. It is a very important social issue, but the Federal Government's role in the country is to protect America, and abortion is not a threat to America.
The only way abortion is a threat to America is the way that Presidential and Representative campaigns are so seriously sidetracked over the wedge issues. So remove the issue from the national arena, and remove with it these national divisions, one issue voters and mediocre campaigns.
Abortion? States rights. Gay Marriage? States rights. As many other wedge issues as possible? States rights. If I were in Congress I wouldn't touch any stupid wedge issue like that with a ten foot pole.
