condi for VP

well with the stuff i have been hearing, a friend of mine brought up condi taking over as vp. so who thinks it is plausable? i think it would be great, because i think you should reward preformance, not color.

they have an order by which people move up and i believe speaker of the house is next in line after vp, so i dont believe condi could be vp. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

that does seem logical, since he chooses his vp in the first place

The line of succession actually only applies to the Presidency...

From Wikipedia:

Section 2 of the 25th Amendment provides that "Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress." Gerald Ford was the first Vice President selected by this method, after the resignation of Vice President Spiro Agnew in 1974; after succeeding to the Presidency, Ford nominated Nelson Rockefeller as Vice President.

I think she will run for the top spot in "08". I know I would vote for her. She would be the one to kick Ms Clinton in the behind.

From what I remember Condi Rice would be VP only if the President (not VP) died.

I believe it was called ‘Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US’

Again, the way I understand it, the line of succession only applies to the President. Therefore, in the event the President was unable to perform his/her duties, the person that replaces the President would select their own VP; who would then be subject to congressional confirmation. The same would be true if the VP was unable to perform his/her duties. The President would select a new VP, who would be subject to congressional confirmation.

There IS "talk" going around that he himself is claiming to "Retire" from Politics after the Nov 06 elections and that Georgie will appoint Condi as his VP. He said he never liked politics and wants to go fishing in Jackson Hole, WY.

That would be the BEST thing for this Country if Cheney would leave!!! Hope he takes his FAT CAT corrupt cronies with him!

I think he will step down as VP so they can put someone in to run in '08 since he has no interest in running for president.

Please site your sources...I work in the political arena and have not yet heard about this. It's not that I don't believe you; I just want to know it came from a reliable source before I utter a word of it to anyone else in my circles.
