Talking hello fellow diesel heads

Hello guys and gals,
Finally joined the site to see what my dad is up to these days, some of you might know him as "papasmurf". Im a diesel head myself in the US Coast Guard and love my job. I turn the wrenches on detriot diesel 6v92ta's. Cant wait to buy my own Duramax maybe in a few years or a cummins. awesome site by the way.

oh and sorry if i put this in the wrong spot.

thanks guys, yeah dennis, ive always been impressed with the cummins, especialy,.. umm john's truck i think it is.. the red truck.. dads too. Would go against my blood of GM thou. A little off, subject there is a guy on the s-10 forum who put a cummins in a 4x4 s10.. got almost done then pretty much left the forum, which sucks, nobody knows why.

when is this Claremont meet?

We don't have a date set yet, probably in the middle of June sometime. By the way if you need lessons on grilling brat's, I showed your father the right way to do this, the special hat is the secret

Welcome!!! I too am pretty new. Turned wrenches on Cats and Cummins gensets in the Marines after x-ferring from avionics (took a promotion). Miss the "glory days". I don't know if Coasties really count Just teasing!!!
