Question Go-cart questions

I've been shopping for a go-cart for my kids for a while and found one locally, but the guy wants $600.00. Says he paid $1,700.00 for it a year ago.

After researching and finding them for under $800.00, shipped to my door, I sent him an email offering him $450.00, which I think is plenty fair.

Anyone buy a go-cart from another state and have it shipped to your door? If the used go-cart falls through, I may ordering one from Texas.

I'm no expert, and I only paid $75 for my first go kart when I was a kid (no engine), but there are tons of different models, hp levels, etc. $600 doesn't sound bad for one that sold for $1700 a year ago. What are the specifics, hp, off road kart?, street kart?, suspension, type of brakes?
What type of condition? I'm sure someone could put a beating on a kart in a year.
Just make sure your comparing apples to apples.
