Oh, those American families that lost loved ones in the riots... Gotcha... 
And it isn't right for people who get shot by guns to sue firearms companies, either. Especially if they are Afghani's suing Colt for getting shot by a Marine's M-16...
Since the Arab fanatics hate us already, I say we just keep antagonizing them... Then again, they don't threaten me as much as anybody on the ground over there, so it's probably not a good idea...

Newsweek should be taken to task for what was printed, including looking into criminal charges. There are soldiers on the ground feeling the wrath of the religious fanatics here everyday. This is the same Newsweek that has shouted what a waste of American lives the war has been, yet now with unresponsible reporting they are fueling the flames of the same war. Unless they want their prominant magazine to be put on the same shelf as The Globe, or The Enquirer they do have a higer responsibilty to print the truth. What's in next weeks issue? "I lost my way hiking and became Sasquach's love slave"? If the source is not confirmed or there is a shadow of a doubt the story should not be printed. Otherwise its fiction. Last time I looked Newsweek wasn't in that section of the library. When Joe public does something like this you bet he would get hauled in and slapped with everything in the book for inciting riots. Yet when a news organization does it they might look at firing/retiring a few folks and they put a retraction in their next publication?? Ummmm, yeah, gee...we're sorry. Give me a break.

Those people over there are constantly looking for something to riot about or stirr up the radicals. Newsweek is too big to recieve much flak for inaccurate printing. If the heat gets too hot over this, all they have to do is print a retraction and apologize, then it's leagally over. Next story?????? muslims rioting for no good reason, US troop casualties at an all time high?????

Personally, I can't believe I'm in charge of anything spiritual so I defer my life to a higher power. We are here on this earth without all of the answers to see how we react to life's challenges. Is religion used for evil? Sure. Is religion used for peace? Yup. Is belief in religion manditory? Only if you want to life forever!

dont you see whats going on here? 1 john 5:19 says the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. rev 12:9-12 states that the devil has been hurled down to the earth having great anger knowing he has a short period of time. all these different religions fighting amongst and against themselves truly cannot be the truth. Christ did say in john 13 that his disciples would have love among themselves. i fail to see that love in the churches. the united nations will be looking closer at religion in the future and wikll completely obliterate it out of existence. what are ya going to do then?

The "his disciples would have love among themselves" has been translated about 3 billion times over 2000 years, so there is a slight bit of ambiguity. It doesn't necessarily mean that all Christians will love each other; it may all just mean that they all have love, not necessarily for the whole. (I personally believe that that is an impossibility.)

I’m afraid to mention that begle1 said something that I agree with because his signature would be far too long.
While I respect that some of you believe in the bible and all of that, the world is not going to end tomorrow (or in our lifetime for that matter). But lets leave that to another thread.
The problem rests with fundamentalist in any religion. Christianity, Muslims, Islamism’s, etc…. you cannot hate another race of people for what they believe in. While I agree that the Muslim religion has its fair share of fundamentalist I would venture to say that the vast majority of them are not as zealot as the ones that want to martyr themselves.

now if you really want to get into the christian crusades and fundamentlism we can do just that. do you really want too? it won't be too long before this thread gets shut down just like the others. it's up to you. i could talk all night.
their is no use arguing christian, muslim, religions. i don't believe either is right or wrong. so what.

To all who believe, what fun is life if you just roll over and accept what someone tells you? You believe a 2000 year old religion because it offers the greatest rewards when you die.
What if your wrong? you waste your existance on boredom, suffering, and that faint hope that all the wrongs you have experienced will be righted....
Me, Im enjoying my 80 to 100 trips around this star, doing what I feel is best for myself and the ones I care about and saying **** everyone else...
