Electric Fuel Pump Gurus

Task,to remove contents of fuel tank.Problem, using a drain plug is not an option. Will an electric fuel pump(Holly Blue Top) do the job?Details, you knew this was not straight forward didn't you,I have to insert/thread the suction 5/6 feet thru the filler down into the tank and pump out 45/60 gallons. So,are electric pumps pullers or pushers?Any other ideas?

Yes, you can shove 6 ft of hose into the tank through the filler and pump your fuel out. It is a lot cheaper if you do it and have somewhere to put the fuel. Please don't ask how I know. Electric pumps are pushers but that much won't hurt anything. The OEM transfer pump pumps a lot more than that and generally for a longer time.

I do use an old pump I have to pump the fuel from my 5 gallon cans into the tank when I use the cans. Takes longer than just pouring them but I don't have to lift and hold them while they leak down the side of the truck.
