i dunno, the 2006 had the 6.1 and said SRT8 on it.
the 2008 had 5k worth of "doo-dads" : GPS, Nav, sun roof, MP3, built in celphone, and 2k of that was GAS GUZZLER tax....

the other cars are just 5.7 hemi's or something.

the 6.1 gets 13 city 18 hiway

the 5.7 does MDS (8-6-4 cylinder) for better MPG.

yeah, troy, i did not see the youth group squeezing up in there.

most the kids in youth are taller than my wife, so they love the mega...

It's called an SRT8, and the 6.1 is available in the Charger, Magnum, or 300 C. I know, because I own a 2007 Charger SRT8, and it goes like STINK!!

P.S/ I actually get about 15 "city" stop and go, which is better than my truck. Takes premium gas, but that is about $0.40 cheaper than diesel as well.

P.P.S - The SRT gets the same mileage as my Grand Marquis, and has twice the horse-pressure! (425 hp, 420 lb-ft).

Perhaps...but there is something about sitting on the living room sofa on a long trip.

Trust me - the seats in the SRT are the MOST comfortable I've ever been in - and the ride is like a limo compared to our trucks.

But, when you're drivin' the SRT, you ain't thinkin' much about the seats....

well, goodness..i guess i did not say...

it was a charger, and it runs HARD...

i left it in drive first, and the tranny was hunting all over.
when i used the manual mode, it goes like STINK!

the 2006 i drove had an AirAid intake, you could hear the air going in the TB.

i did NOT realize the hood was functional, that's cool!!

Then something was wrong. These autos are nice - and are adaptive. Drive it like a granny, and that's what it'll do.

But, you're right, when you Autostick it - hang on!!

Wink

Yeah, our SRT-8 Magnum is fun to drive. It ran a 13.1 with just weld in mufflers, all else bone stock.
We just had it in today for 2 issues though. The tranny pucked fluid in the garage over the weekend after sitting since Friday, and the drivers seat had a problem. They took care of it all and changed the oil while it was in there.

does the charger have Traction Control?

i could not get it to really spin.

the differential was burnt out, also, at 28k miles.
the right rear tire was almost down to the tread, the left was half tread.

i tried to get it to spin on a straight take off, did not really do much.

i am used to camaro automatics, about 30~40mph, when you kick it down in Drive, it will downshift and break tires loose and spin sideways.

Yes they have traction control and a button that disables it 80%. Thats how I run it at the track.
