Thanks for the prayers and thoughts everyone, I appriciate them alot. Eventhough this is a forum, it's nice to read the kind words you all have to say! Mom spent the day with grandpa today and grandpa's lady friend he lived with for a few years after my grandma died, drove up from florida today to see him.
Had a good day at the coal yard. Got to work with the other coal handling crew today. I'm working with a bunch of nice people. The guys I work with want to keep me in their dept if they can.

Mark, the crew I work with treat everyone like family. Most are able to retire or are about to retire from the company they are happy to see some young people get hired in now. From what I have been told 1/3 of the company can retire right now, and in a few years another 1/3 can retire. The guys call the coal handling dept "The Resort". They say once you're there you never wanna leave!

Morning, day shift taking a break. Wet morning. Wondering if any of you got picked on by those tornadoes out west. Matt, sorry about gramps. I miss mine. Lung cancer got him. He was there almost every day for weeks when I was in the hospital from my crash, bringing fruit and vegetables from the garden from almost an hour and a half away. I always felt bad when he got sick and I had to sit at work.

Morning all.
Still on vacation this week.
Called the timekeeper yesterday and found out I still have 8 1/2 more days of unused leave from last year to 'burn' before I lose them at the end of his month.
Then I have 6 more weeks from THIS year..............
Heading to Casa Del Shovelhead to take care of some projects, and goof off while Wifey has to go back to work tomorrow.
Y'all be careful out there.

1996 - An Atlanta-bound ValuJet DC-9 caught fire shortly after takeoff from Miami and crashed into the Florida Everglades. All 110 people on board were killed.
1998 - India conducted its first underground nuclear tests, three of them, in 24 years. The tests were in violation of a global ban on nuclear testing.

I didn't see any coffee either, Scott - - lousy timer or else he took lessons from the Times Square bomber.
Home for the day to get projects done - - feeling a bit better so no more excuses. The coffee is on, grabbing a ph00 and gone.
