Mornin folks. Happy December!
It's official, I'm a Jeeper for a while. The 1st gen is parked in a safe (I hope) place for the winter away from trees and crazy drivers.
-15° this AM. Left the water running in the kitchen so it didn't freeze this time.

living the real hunting camp here, all have now left and I get to close up shop for Florida.....bones hurt, gonna feel betta! all set for venison, woo hoo thanks guys... funny to watch men looking out my living room patio doors at the eight deer looking at them after legal hunting time. the deer bed down all year round about 20 yards out in the scrub, spruce and apple trees. they enjoyed the night vision scopes....

safe week for all the faithful DTR guys! even pet chaiwka

Deer ain't dumb. During hunting season in Montana they would huddle in around my dad's cows in the Bitter Root. Too close to the neighbors to use hunting rifle. So a 22 Hornet to the head close up worked well enough.

we always used .22LR in OK when the deer started that....
Also been known to let an arrow fly in the back yard when the deer started heading for town.

Morning all. afternoon others, depending on your time zone.

Is everyone ready for the holiday 5K next weekend? its gonna be an easy one. Mostly level with one gentle 1 mile long climb.

Mornin' all. Just getting in. Dropped the blonde off at the airport at 7am to head to Seattle for three weeks and help out with the kids. Things are getting a little hairy in this saturation intensive section of the treatment on our girl, so she felt she needed to be there. I will miss her but I know they are anxious for her arrival. For some reason, Ianna thinks her Nana is the greatest - - yeh. Well, come to think about it, so do I. ............

OUCH, that ph00 was horrible. Dumped and scraped out the pot, disinfected it, deodorized it, boiled water in it for 30 minutes, rewashed and made fresh ph00. .............................ummm, ya did good, Bob.

How do you gauge the strength of coffee?
When you try and push in a spoon and it pushes back, that's strong.
If it corrodes a horse shoe, it won't stay in your thermos or metal commuter cup. Which means it will burn a hole through your floor board and work its way to China.

Don't I wish.. its -10f at my house. Hmmm, wonder if my wife would notice if I was gone for a few days.

Wait a sec--I could tell her that somebody needs to check on FiverBob. Leaving him alone for too long could turn ugly with nobody to remind him of the basics
ie:no shower, no shave, no clothes----- you get the picture and it aint pretty.

G'day everybody. Hmmmm, this breakroom must be a permanent one cuz it has no end date. Or no beginning date.

Just stopping by for a few minutes because I am early for an interview I need to do with a local hire. Another one that has probably stretched the truth a little bit in his resume. Oh well, that is part of my job, to quickly figure out how much padding there is.

Counting down to my departure from this frozen place. The city is Shenyang, but many of the ex-pats here have replaced the 'en' in the name with an 'it'. The wife of another ex-pat calls it Spit City due to so many Chinese spitting on the sidewalks. Can't say that I disagree. 18 more days and I am outhere. Will be happy when I am on the same day and time zone as my wife. Yesterday I was even a month apart. There is a 14 hour time difference between me an home.

One of my Canadian co-workers recently married a Russian girl he met here. He is 57 and she is 26. Nice woman and really smart. She is here attending university and studying for masters in international law. In Chinese! I was best man at their wedding in Hong Kong on October. They were not planning on having any kids. They are both presently in shock because she has just discovered that she is 5 weeks pregnant. All their future plans are now in disarray. Not sure whether to feel sorry for them or laugh at them.

Off to my meeting. Hope all of you have a great evening.

Now she's gonna have a green card, alimony, AND child Support!!!

Ever heard that firewood that's cut into lengths that vary by more than 2 inches is poor quality? I guess I better get my tape measure out and start marking off where I need to cut. I've never noticed any difference in how it burns.

I popped the cover off the clean-out T in my basement today. Was surprised how clean the pipe is. Just a little dust in the bottom of it.

Another cat down. They are getting into my attic now too. I think through the roof vents.

Gotta run back to town. Got groceries last night since my preferred hang-out was having karaoke (the DJ even sucked) and forgot meat for sandwiches.

That's amazing. I am assuming she also speaks some English. Of course for being so smart she apparently missed the class on birth control.
Though if he is 57 he needs to take a refresher course too.

I actually went outside for awhile today. Its currently -11f and dropping so I am not going out anymore.
