Interview finished, now waiting for my boss so that we can head out to one of the factories. Having a quick cup of Bob's ph00 while waiting for the car and driver.

This woman speaks excellent English and in fact, teaches English part time in addition to her studies. Her Chinese is pretty good, but she does confess to battling with her written stuff in Chinese. I admire her. Yeah, been teasing her and her husband about birth control. He just shakes his head and wonders how it happened.

Gone to work. Sorry for using a bad 4 letter word.

It was the worst four letter word I could come up with.

Scored a fantastic deal on some oysters so we are having clam/oyster stew for dinner. Perfect when its -12f outside.

Unless it's this Scot. I'd guess F O but it's only half enough letters. Maybe he meant "snow"?

Got rechargeable batteries (NiMH) for my one flashlight that are supposed to be pre-charged and it wouldn't even light on them. Got them in the charger now.

Rayovac "recharge" NiMH batteries are $7 for 4, 1350mAH, Recharge Plus are $8 and 2500 mAH, and the top-tier of that line is $12 at 2300 mAH. Figure that one out.

A friend's been having some luck with "farmersonly" so I signed up. Had two replies right off the bat, one from Laramie, and another from north of Seattle. Does a whole lot of good. At least I can start a conversation with SOMEONE though! Guess that's not a bad first step.

NEfrmhnd: My brother (a banker) finally (he is in his sixty's) found a gal who he clicked with. He had a few bad relationships that he regrets but now the two of them are inseperable and seem to be perfect for each other. Hope it doesn't take you that long but it seems like the right one sometimes takes a lot of time.

Guess I should have said COLD.
Now I am probably in trouble with members of a certain Celtic people who I am actually related to but will still get bludgeoned to death by sheep stomach wielding,
haggis eating bagpipe blowing no underwear skirt wearing people who will tie me to a caber and toss me into the North Sea while yelling "See ye efter!".
Hmmm, Maybe I should cut back on the caffeine.

What we know as a kilt isn't actually a kilt. A real kilt is several feet wide and about 24 feet long and gets wrapped around you several times, and you start by standing over it about mid-way. I know a guy whose daughter married a Scottish historian and arms-maker. He got tired of making junk swords for tourists and opened his own armory.

Morning gang - - sorta cloudy dreary day down this way to start - - same thing happened yesterday, but by 10 it was bright and sunny and ended up 80 - - not running that way today so far.

Noted no one bothered putting on fresh coffee, ph00, etc. Soooo, it's done. As for fresh ph00 versus tar, mine is puuuurrrrrrfect. ..............................

Uhhhh, don't understand - - - is there something wrong with what you described................

Holy smoke, boy - -caffeine does not cause all that - - you been outside in that cold too long and frizzed your brain................

OK, enough chatter - - off to accomplish wonderful and marvelous things today with no interruptions. Oh, wait a minute, I like her interruptions. ..................

Warmed up to -11° this AM. Went out at 5AM to plug in the wife's car so she can go shopping. Absolutely beautifully clear out. Had to stand there a look at the stars for a while.
Stupid Jeep is still fighting me. Went to drive it yesterday and the blower motor crapped out. This thing also takes for ever to warm up, even with a new thermostat.

That must be nice, man. Take your air filter out and put it in the front seat, so when it warms up you remember to check the air box for critters...

Man, I don't envy you. If I lived up there, I'd have electric heaters everywhere on that vehicle.

Afternoon. Got the stitches out of my arm today, all is well. I think my wife is trying to kill me, she's feeding me so much food that I'm getting fat... I was doing good a couple of weeks ago before the surgery, now that I've been setting on the couch helpless, she's been shoving food down my throat. She made me eat all but two pieces of a pizza today at lunch... yesterday she made me finish her lunch at this mexican joint after church, the day before that was the pork butt, and the day before that was thanksgiving.

My bellybutton is getting deep again.

Good evening all y'all, just a quick check in. Scotty, batten down the hatches. Some super nasty weather headed into Alberta from Alaska and it is headed your way. We have been getting pummeled east of Calgary for 24 hours. The RCMP have closed highways north and east of Calgary. I have lived out here on the prairies for 12 years and this is one of the worst storms to date. It took me half an hour after I got home to calm down enough to light my cigar
This nasty weather is heading east into Saskatchewan.
