Computer guru question?
Computer guru question?
Got one of the new extra wide Sony flat screens here at work (old eyes you know) and was wondering if it can be set up to work from two applications at one time. Like Excel on one half and TeamTrack on the other. Anyone know how? (other than minimized)
Depending on your graphic adapter it can be either easy (with an ATI) or a PIA -
If you cn manually arrange the windows to your liking if they ain't maximised it should work fine- the ATI software offers some hotkeys for arranging the windows on a wide screen.
But maybe I misunderstood your question ....

'Multi-Monitor' that's what Alpine is talking about. Your video card has to have mulitmon capability and then you can have one monitor (sony) showing excel and a second monitor doing whatever else. TWO monitors.
If you only have 1 monitor then open your 2 applications and go down the the task bar, right click and select "TILE WINDOWS" either horizontally or vertically. choose the one you like. This is not a global setting so each time you have 2 or more screens open you have to select TILE which ever way you want it.
Hit me up if you have any questions.

Hey...the Tile Windows thing is pretty neat. I never knew that before. Now I can browse DTR, see my email and work on the document I'm working on all at the same time. Sweet!
