Question Button Cell Battery ???

I have the battery out of an inside/outside thermometer that has been in my truck for several years; it is marked "V 357".

I have several new button-cells of the same exact diameter as the V 357 that are marked "AG 13".

Are these interchangable, as in can I put one of the AG 13s where the V 357 was ??

Thanks.

Thank you.

I will risk trying one in my six-dollar thermometer.

The last time it needed a battery, the wife picked up one at Walmart that cost two-dollars MORE than the thermometer originally cost WITH a battery.

Since then, I have accumulated a bunch of key-chain lights for 99-cents per light that each have a stack of three batteries.

After looking over that link, I will try one of the key-chain light batteries in the thermometer and see what happens.

Thanks.
