BFG AT KO vs Pro-Comp Xtreme AT

I currently run the BFG's and there everything I want except they dont make them tall enough and I'm not overly impressed with them in the snow. Can anyone compair them to or tell me about the procomp xtreme at? Mostly how many miles they last, how well they do in wet/dry conditions and on road light and deep snow.

Also think I can fit 38.5x14.5x17 procomp xtreme at on H2 wheels with a skyjacker 4.5" lift (it came out to be 5.5-6") I can run a 38.7x10.9x16 without any rubbing.

I've got the procomps, and I love them! Mine are only D rated, sitting still they have a little bulge even when filled to 50psi, but driving I experience no issues or squishiness. So far (I have about 5-6k miles on them) they are wearing extremely well. I haven't driven in snow with them, but in the rain I think they grip better than the stock michileans. They work great in the sand and dirt, and I still haven't gotten stuck in any mud yet with them. Also, they will make a little bit more noise than the BFGs.

I found the BFG's to be silent as far as I can tell. A little noise is ok but the howling like I get off my michilin XL's I cant have. I cant even ride with the windows down with those tires lol

well it seems theres a place online that for the month of march will be offering buy 3 get 1 free and free shipping on all pro comp tires. think im going to give the xtreme AT a try. So does anyone have any clue as to weather that 38.5x14.5x17 on H2 wheels will fit my truck without cutting anything.
thanks
chris

IMO, an 8.5" wide wheel is WAY to small for a 14.5" tire. The tire would severly buldge in the middle. You need about a 10" wide wheel for this tire.

Could you PM the place with the deal on the Pro Comp tires....They seem to be the only one with a decent E rated tire
Thanks

Be careful with some of these internet sites with the buy 3 get one free deal, they jack up the prices on the tires, so they're not really losing much by giving one away free. Just a heads up, I had a magazine a month or so before the sale, and the tires were cheaper than the ones on sale for buy 3 get one free.

33-12.5-17's should be at about $195 a tire! $200 mounted and balanced! JB

I went with 265 75 16 D Rated BFG AT KO's which have the same weight rating as E rated 245's

Best tire made IMO.

I still miss my KM's

I have the BFG AT in 285/75/16 D's and when I need to replace them it will be with the same size but E rated (new).
