Too early for jokes?
Well it has been 24 hours and we did exhibit sorrow over his misfortune.
Heck, thats pretty good for DTR standards.

I had an S-10 in high school that had a parking brake that would release on it's own. My dad had moved my truck for some reason and was going to move it right back (I think he was moving another vehicle and I was in the way) and left it running. He was walking to the other vehicle and just heard the sound of tires moving on gravel.
My brothers best friend had parked his F-100 a few feet behind my truck. My truck rolled down and backed into the side of his truck. It went maybe 25' down a very slight grade and didn't get fast, but it messed his truck up enough that we had to do bodywork just for it to move.
I'm glad he was there because just past where he parked the hill gets much much steeper and the truck would've ended up in the highway.
Luckily the guy rolled the F-100 literally two days later so there was no insurance issues. I bought a bumper and a tailgate and had a little bodywork done on my S-10 so all was good. A few months later I got rearended and the back of the truck got fixed right.

Jeez Ed that sucks. I know its incidental, and no one is really at fault, but man its sure angering.
Id want to stomp kittens or something, but their cute little meows would probably convince me just to go waste a couple thousand rounds of ammo.

Uhhh, just a little!!!! Makes you sick to your stomach doesn't it? I hit a cow (different story altogether) and it cost "my" insurance company $17000 to replace the whole front-end and both front doors (a/c condensor, IC, radiator as well as other components) and the other party admitted they left the pasture gate open

. Trying..........not.........to...........get...... ...peeved.......thinking about it. Anyhow, I hope it works in your favor.....obviously, it didn't in my case(s).
The Dodge dealer has it now waiting on the insurance adjuster to see it on Tues.
Looked at the new trucks while I was there.
The prices on 2012 2500s......
A gasser 2500 is around 45 grand.
I paid under 30 grand for my 3500 diesel in 1999.

We were at a Dodge dealer yesterday and I took a walk through. Trucks were marked down, from 52 to 48. So they were totally cheap

Years back I was a nice guy and settled even though my car (subaru) didnt feel quite right.
After noticing some abnormal tire wear it turned out the frame was slightly bent. By then it was to late to claim it
.
Somehow I seem to have upset the "Motor Gods".
Drove wifey's Landcruiser tonight to her relatives house.
On the way home, the putz in front of me slams on the brakes at a yellow light, I jam the brakes on the cruiser..... and they go to the floor.
Swerved to miss him/her made it through the intersection, drove the rest of the way home (about 6 blocks) using the hand brake to slow/stop.
ANOTHER steel Toyota part rusted through, this time the main brake line running down the frame rail.
Dealer time for Wifey's truck too.
Out of three vehicles to drive, the 1986 Dodge Aries is the only one with 4 wheels still on the road.
