THE BEAST wrecked......NOW TOTALLED

Neighbor's car rolled out of his inclined driveway, crossed the street, and hit the beast RIGHT where the front door frame/hinge meets the front fender.
It hit hard enough to knock my truck about 8" sideways into the curb.
Judging by the apparent speed just before impact, and position of impact, if the Beast wasn't there, the car would have come to rest right under the bay window in my living room.
Thank God for small favors.
Now the driver's door won't open, and it looks like the gap between the cab and the bed is wider on the driver's side.
GREAT way to meet the new neighbor............

That's what insurance is for.

Just commented this afternoon to a coworker that ALL of my vehicles are PAID IN FULL.
I'm hoping I'm not looking for a new one.
This one only has 170,000 on it...... it's JUST getting broken in.

I'd be pretty

Along with the sheet metal and frame, go over the front axle, suspension, BJs etc really well. I'm thinking if the vehicle smashed the tire unevenly with enough force to cram the front end into the curb on the other side, will your axles, bearings, joints still be good with no wobbles?

Hope it gets better. Will your neighbors insurance cover it?

Dang Ed......that really sucks!..I am just glad you were not climbing in it or leaning over the hood when that thing came silently calling

Years ago I had a 1970 Firebird and my neighbor knocked on my door about a half hour after I got in from work wanting to know if that was my car sitting in the middle of the road Dang thing just rolled out in the road and stopped...I always figured I got real lucky on that deal....

Good luck on your truck!

As was already mentioned, that really sucks. I always liked the look of your truck, and I hope the repair process goes smooth with no surprises.

Years ago, I had my previous truck hit while parked in front of my house. Damage was over $5k, and although the other party's insurance finally paid for the damage, it was a pain to get sorted out.

Moved it off the curb this afternoon, both front wheel skins toast, right front rim bent, right front wheel definately cambered out at the top.
Going to be towed to the Dodge Dealer in the morning for estimates / repairs.
