Brother in law made a bacon burger-

Took a pound of bacon & put it thru a meat grinder- Formed it into patties & cooked on a flat top.

He said it was not exactly the best thing he's ever eaten.

All this bacon talk and nobody has mentioned the ultimate yet. Everyone needs a couple of these in their bugout bags.

Even though folks talk about Canadian Back Bacon, I prefer a slab of side bacon with the rind or skin still on...thick sliced and cooked just to the edge of being crispy.

There was a turtle dish a friend of mine made.
A large ball of ground beef wrapped in side bacon, split pieces of wieners for the feet, tail and head...grill on the BBQ. I think this is on you tube.

I also have what I call the triple by-pass-gas burger. Ground side bacon, ground buffalo with shredded Jack cheese, garlic cloves, spanish onion and jalapeno's...all ground up then made into patties.

I work tonight, might have to get the chef to prep up some of this. YouTube has some nasty cardiac arrest vids. MMmmmmmmmMMMMEAT!

Ground side bacon is great when added to a sizzling walleye fillet too.

Keep forgetting you are in the land of no pork. Wonder what they do to bacon smugglers.

Lot of bacon flavored stuff out there but nothing better than some good quality fried bacon esp when out camping.

They had chocolate covered bacon at the BBQ cook off this past weekend. There is a bacon vodka, great for bloody mary's I'm told. Haven't tried it yet.

They need to make genetically engineered pigs that give 100% bacon and nothing else. Just carve it off of them, give it a few weeks to grow back and carve 'em again!

Great idea, coming from the guy who hasn't had a haircut in how many decades? After all, it's the same principal.
