Another blown up D-Max

I hate GM and their 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on medium duty trucks I dont like working on them.

These things are miserable to work on. This guy wiped out #6 and 8 cylinders. GM is pretty cool about power adders though, unlike DC. This guy ran a Bully Dog for 227k pulling heavy (GCVW 36k) before she let loose. We get about 8 a year with power adders and GM said OK for warranty 7 of those times.

He is a hotshot driver. It has a sleeper on the back and a monster fuel tank on the bed. I would say he lived in the thing to put that kind of mileage on it.

I dont know, but some of the Fed Ex team drivers put 225-250k on in a year. Their trucks stop for fuel and to get the oil changed, thats about it. The one guy buys a new truck from our dealership every 2 years and trades in his with about 475-500k.

5days a week X 52 weeks a year = 260 days
260 X 500miles a day = 130,000miles a year X 2 = 260,000 in 2 years

Regulations allow 11 hours driving a day . Back when FEMA was shipping thousands of trailers after hurricanes FMCSA allowed FEMA drivers to be exempt from HOS rules . I saw plenty of FEMA drivers running 18 - 20 hours a day . I had a couple of them tell me they ran a day and a half non-stop .
