air show up date

Here is a quick up date on what is going at the Oshkosh air show.

I found this in the parking lot on the way out. Its a 3500 cummins with a jet in the back!

This is a semi that has 3 jet engines in the back! They say it is the worlds fastest truck

Here is what we all have been wating for! its the star ship! I will let the pics do that story telling. Yes i know that it is a power joke towing it, but ford was all over the place(let me know if you want me to ask the powerstroke tent anything).

I have lots more pics of everything i could get a picture of! I will post more when i get time.

I hope he drops the tailgate before he fires it up.

I think that truck (the semi) was at Norwalk, Ohio's "Night Under Fire"...

Pretty cool... Burned down the backstop (twice) and sounded very sweet...

I am thinking of the fun with a jet in the bed.... instead of smoking a tailgater you can BBQ them.....

I met this guy at the NAS Oceana airshow back in the 90's where I was a controller. They closed down the base for the weekend, and he always ran the truck on our 12000 ft runway. It was very cool, and very very fast. The guys name is Les Shockley. I am not sure if that is the correct spelling or not. Either way, very cool truck.

The History channel did a piece on the Shockley truck last night.....the name of the show was something about big trucks, not monster trucks but something like that.
I am sure they will be showing it again.Ron G

I took a few pictures of the diesel engines and planes today. The one i saw was a deltahawk 160hp 2stroke. they use the supercharger to start it and then the turbo keeps it running! I will post pictures when I get home.
