Question Additives for a gas engine

I'd like to get an idea on additives I can use in my moped. It's a carbureted 50cc two stroke. The oil and gas are mixed in the carb, and there are two seperate tanks. I don't have to premix my fuel. Having learned the joys of dismantling the moped to get to the carb, and then removing the carb to clean it out, I'd rather not have to do that again.

I'd like to use a good additive to help keep the carb from gumming up/clean.

Any reccomendations?

Berryman B-12 Chemtool. I used that stuff on my old Dodge before I rebuilt the carb. When I took the carb apart, all surfaces that were in contact with fuel were shiny - even the backside of the throttle plates! The insides of the carb looked like new.

i would recommend any good quality fuel stabalizer.

they say premixed fuel tends to go stale faster than seperate fuel.

but you have oil injection so you wont have to worry about that.

umm.....i would try a good fuel stabalizer for now. if you want to install a filter between the fuel tank and the carb if it dosen't already have one. help keep the crap out of there.

I've had good luck with SeaFoam and use it whenever I want to clean up a fuel system.
