5th Wheel vaca places

Thinking on going somewhere with the wife this summer with the 5th wheel. I want to go west or a little south. I was thinking Wyoming or Tennessee?? I am in Michigan right now and want to go somewhere else. Anybody have any recommendations?? Thanks.

How about south, waaaaaayyyy south, like to Mexico? Will the ice melt enough in your neck of the woods by summer to get your fiver out?

LOL that would be nice but I would like it if that was more permanent. My blood is very thin since I am originally from the south. If its below 70 I am cold.

Wyoming Yellowstone NP, Tetons. Farther west and south in Utah and Arizona - Grand Canyon NP AZ, Bryce Canyon NP Utah, Zion NP Utah, Lake Powell AZ area, Escalante Grand Staircase Utah, Canyonlands NP Utah, Arches NP Utah and another hundred palces in between them.

You did not indicate how long you could devote to the trip. If you can make it long enough, Barry listed a great route. Take a look on the map. Zion, Bryce, Mesa Verde, Canyonlands, Arches, Capital Reef are all a day or less journey between and some great experiences. In my opinion, you need at least one week in Yellowstone to see it right. Drop down into the Tetons while in Yellowstone for a day's drive and see some fabulous scenery. Late May, early June is great for these locations. If you have time, swing up into Colorado for some great stuff. We spent three months in these area and are going back again this fall.

Now, if you really want some fun, there is this place called Alaska - - yeh. Hey, don't ignore some wonderful experiences much closer to you - - - head north east, young man. Nova Scotia, Newfoundland - - oh my - - photographers heaven. But make sure you have some time to spend. If not, just hit New Brunswick and Maine - - go out to Acadia NP - - good stuff.

I was born in Dallas and have been to a lot of places in Texas. I go there every year!!

I think I am going to spend about a week to 10 days out. I looked at the yellowstone web site last night and it had problems, was going to try again today. I like the idea of the Grand Canyon. I will check that out. Alaska is definately a few week trip down the road. Thanks guys.

Did Pigeon Forge area in TN 2 years ago. Great country down there. Wish I had more time to do Nashville again.

If you do Yellowstone and want to stay inside the park and want hookups, you will need Fishing Bridge CG. Very convenient. Otherwise, the other campgrounds are mostly dry. There are some campgrounds on the perimeter outside.

Forget Mexico. Too many killings right now. Bullets fly. Had over 200 killings in Juarez in Feb. If you can wait till after Memorial Day, Yellowstone is quite.
