1st post and hello

Hi everyone,
My name is Bryan, I'm 17 and I drive a 2002 f250 psd 7.3 ext cab longbed 4x2.

I'm the market for a 2006 dodge ram 2500 cc shortbox with the cummins diesel. I've had my truck for about a year now but I just want something brand new. And 4x4 (very important).

I don't use my truck for work. I all I do with it work wise, Is I tow my 22' foot proline center consoul open fish boat. Other then that I do is go to and from work/school. And going out ect.

well anyway I hope you learn alot from all on you on the forum.

Welcome, Bryan! Was 02 the last year for the 7.3? If so, you shouldn't have any problems selling it. I've heard the 6.0 has alot of problems. I bet there are plenty of 6.0 owners that would love a 7.3.

well my 7.3 has had a couple of problems. I just had to replace the csp senser, and a few other things.

My gf's dad has a 2004 f350 with the 6.0 in it and all I have to say is . He's had nothing but problems with it. He took it in the local ford dealer ship, and since the cpu is not throwing codes, they told him to deal with it because if the computer is not showing anything they can fix it.

so he dose not know what to do with it. it shuts off in traffic. the 4x4 dose not work for some reason. I don't know I think it's a lemmon but they won't take it back.

On behalf of the Admin team here, Welcome to DTR !!!

There is a lot of great info here, my best suggestion on that is pour yourself a Guinness and kick back and soak up the knowledge. I myself have learned a lot here.

You shouldn't have too much trouble selling your Ford. Good truck with a decent engine. Can't say the same for the 6.0 though.

Welcome Bryan. I don't think he's "Hateing" you. Just asking what 9 out of ten around here are likely wondering. Good luck, and congrats on being in the position financially at 17 that most of us took til 30 or so to reach!

Not hating, just wondering. I asked what I knew what was on everyone elses mind. I have no fear is speaking my mind be it a boss, preacher, mother or whoever.

I bought my first new truck at 20. A CC powerchoke dually. And only financed it for 3 years. I just know it would be tough to float a note like that and be a full time student!!!!
