gonna have to give a shout out to ya, be in burleson/mansfield area in january unless i can chicken out and meet online with some folks. margarita on me...

Ah the netti pot. Yeah, I do similar but I use a baby nasal bulb and squirt salt water up there When I lived in Corpus I'd just hit the beach every week and that took care of it. Maybe living away from a coast is bad for my health??

Let me know when you're in the area. That be great to meet up for a margarita

Easy there Bark. Don't get that shew all agitated. If the Badger song is bothering you that much, try this one:

Just remember folks, it's only the beginning of winter. Cabin fever could get real interesting this year.

Morning all. Headed out to "clean out my locker" at work.

It seemed appropriate. Besides, I figure that the shrews might like it better than a song about badgers.

Last time I was in Corpus there were big blobs of oil floating around (1979). Good for the hair but not for the sinuses.

Last night was a bust. I think I actually uploaded a test video to youtube but could not get it to embed here. All I got was a big white box.
Tonight I will try it again.

Yeah... but why spend a hundred bucks on a coffee pot that only makes one cup at a time? What is so special about it?

Was going to buy the wife a new vehicle yesterday. We went look at the Jeep Grand Cherokee's. Awesomely nice vehicle, price on it was right but they wanted me to take a 7k hit on her Durango. I just kinda giggled and left with the salesman following me asking "what'd I do"

One would think that after selling me 5 new vehicles that he would know me better than that.

Yall behave now.
Great! Don't feel obligated to say anything if there's nothing to say.

Man, after all the heck I've dealt with jeep products and chrysler stuff... I would not touch a new JGC with a ten foot pole. Wait a few, they're the first new model in 2 years... gotta get the bugs worked out.

Afternoon.

Work, PT at lunch, got off early today. Came home, my neighbor behind me dropped off the engine for the four wheeler he's giving me... He had a four wheeler a few years ago that one of his nieces blew the motor in, went from 5th to 1st.. he got all the parts but never put it back together... now he's giving it to me. I'm all about it!

Gonna fool around a little tonight, not sure of the plan yet.

I have no idea, I don't have one. I spent $19.99 for my Mr Coffee 3 years ago and it still works fine. But some of these 'city-fied' people here just HAVE to have the latest gadget that comes out on "As Seen On TV!".

Got it back today!

Good news folks: I got my truck back today, and they did an exceptional job repairing the damage...can't even tell it was crumpled on the driver's side.

Bad news folks: While it was parked in their lot someone backed into the passenger side and wrinkled the front door skin.

I guess on the plus side I won't have to worry about rust on the front doors for awhile

Figured the breakroom was a good place to experiment at.

You know how sensitive I am. This is my first time trying this so don't ridicule me.
This is taken from out of the dirty windows of the new living room I am building.

Anyway, I am impressed that the camera can focus (somewhat) through a dirty window with me waving it around.
Scot (and Scotty) will be impressed that it picks up my heavy breathing.
Dont know why I felt I had to hold it up to my face. It has a screen, not a viewfinder

--The first images are of Mount Spur (about 40 miles away) who last erupted in 92 and dumped enough ash to cave in my shed.
--A little to the left is Mount Redoubt who in 1989 almost brought down a new 747 (KLM Flight 867) after it sucked in ash and killed all four engines.
--The last images are of Augustine who dumped on us in 05.
I hope this works---

Haaa!! I am a genius. I am a master of technology. Splut—orrvff-- I have bit my tounge.

Well, not tonite at least.
What is it with this "age" stuff - - I am just a young chicken yet. Feathers may be a bit messy, but just a young rooster, boy. .....

Takes a lot to make me do that. Thanks Bob!
You are welcome, young man. I enjoy your posts too - - helps make my day. We all need to lighten up sometimes and not take ourselves so seriously. Life is short - - make it the most it can be.

Now don't say that - - your analogy of the dog was great. You are bright - - you light up my day with your crazee wit. Uhhh, nit wit?? NO NO NO - - just wit. Yeh, that's it - - WIT.

Just got in from a lovely din din with a beautiful blonde. Dined at a waterfront on the inlet watching the yachts come and go. Great dinner compliments of Cadillac. Yeh, I know - - I really paid for it. Still, it was nice. Company especially was great. Had some grouper with shrimp, crab, lobster and scallops. Excellent. Finished up with their famous Key Lime Pie. Mercy, where is the Zocor to kill all that cholesterol?

Ya'll sound just as crazee as ever so life must be good. I am going to keep that blonde company. Was a busy day and I am bushed. Take care and sleep good.

Bob

On edit: WHOA, that old Bark jumped in while I was scribbling above and posted his video. I think I know just about where you live now. I am jealous, all summer long. But you can have it all winter long - - I will stay where I am. But it is pretty. Hey, if you are serious about this video stuff, look up a software named Premiere by Adobe. It is some great editing software. If we meet when we come up, I will bring you some I have done of Alaska and wherever else you might want to see that we have been. Fun working with, a bit complicated, but it will allow you to do some amazing stuff, especially if you add After Effects to it. Use a tripod and it will do wonders to smooth you out. BK

What a FANTASTIC job Bark! Excellent! I have never seen a more highly composed piece of videography in my life! The way you panned from the right, focused on the rig in the bay, then back to the mountains on the left was pure genius! And the way you ran your shin into the coffee table just left me speechless.

GOOD JOB!

I was wondering if anybody would notice that. It was all part of a carefully choreographed effort complete with script, storyboard, and sound effects.
As an effort to take video, upload it than embed it, it was a success. As a money maker--I suspect my investors are going to be a little disapointed.

Yeah, esp when the road gets closed for days until the plow comes. Thanks for the tips and comments. Only need to get good enough with the camera for the grandkid (due next month).

Once you film your patented snake dance, I'm sure the video will go viral and you'll be famous.

Evening all.
