Hey everybody, I am back online again. Florida was a blast, lots of good stories and memories from that trip... Mike, that is a heck of a trip you got planned but sounds like you are pretty well prepared, just so long as you have your keg-o-joe for the ride

Quad is in the garage, started out like this

and ended up something like this

Carb is clean, oil/filter and plug are changed. Full service manual, HMF slip on and Pro Design intake are on their way. Going to get a 424 kit in the near future, rejet, change diff fluids and some other clean up/repair work.
I might be screwed on surprising girlfriend on this one, she decided to come down this weekend, and I am QUITE certain that it is not going to be done by then didn't want to show it to her in pieces, but at the same time then I can make her help me out and learn her machine, which is good

BTW, Someone needs to buy those rims off me...

well it started out looking good, then a bomb went off, at least ya know its all done rite. as for your rims, I think its time you put em back in the classifieds, pretty sure tom got a set. keg of joe is a bit much, I am thinking that red bull is gonna copilot this one, less fluids to disperse, and less stopping is better. I could actually burn a tank with the quad set to 65 hp, and then the next one on 100 hp and hand calc any differences on this trip......... sure, one more thing to try to remember. Sure wish I cold haul back somethin and make some money off this

Mike what do you have to do to the hummer rims to make them fit on the dodges. If i am correct we have to enlarge the center axle whole a little bit more. Also, who around here does it?

well I am back, 1235 miles later, and a few tanks of fuel. JR, you need to open up the centers on them to fit over the hub end, I woulld have to search for the size as I just got home and mind is mush. 4.775 comes to mind about being big enough, many like using a router to do the job as there is a lip that you can use as a guide that works out perfect. less perfect is hole saw, then machine shop as a last resort, gets kind of pricey.

Wow, hard to believe that it has been so long since anybody has been active in here

At any rate, good to hear that the trip went well and you made it back in good order Mike. I let her see the machine in pieces, had her helping me with some of the tinkering, but waiting on parts right now. might be a bit before it is back lookin normal again... She is still excited though.

woops, dang that looks like it hurt, good to see you are ok. man that really bites, but at least you are gettin it fixed. Not sure one of our wrench days could handle that one. on a side note i hope it warms up tomorrow, I think I got a boot that is blowin off, got a funny sound all of a sudden yesterday, and now anytime I get on it, the sound comes back ???????? the luck I got I tell ya, which boot is hardest to get to, and that will be the one I gotta fix no doubt.

Wow Gary!! Glad to hear you are okay though. I don't think one of our wrench days could handle that damage, but who knows, a few rolls of duck tape and some beer and she would look good as new!!

Anyone coming to our get together next week on Friday?

That's how they make money. By doing this and then flipping again. You would be better off dealing with your ins co and let them haggle it out.

I understand your co gave you a issue but that is the issue you should be dealing with.
