Cool, I was hoping you could make it.
And I know all about needing a break and sleeping with your eyes open. Been there done that. Get yourself a turbo gulp sized cup of coffee, don't go to sleep on the road, and don't let the micro-muts drink the coffee.

See you in a couple hours.

Joel

To everyone who joined us at Virginia Diner, it was nice to see you all, and to spend some time laughing, learning, and BSing. I had a really good time, as I hope everyone did. I learn something at every meeting, this one is no exception. It adds something to the communication to be able to say it right to the other person's face (and pointing to the subject of the discussion helps too).

To those who didn't join us, we won't hold it against you. We just hope you'll be able to make the next meeting.

One of the things discussed was the Claremont rally. Please see that thread in this forum for more information.

The possibility of having more meetings was also discussed in this meeting, due to the collective thought that "we don't do this enough". As not everyone can make every meeting, we talked about having smaller meetings, when a few members can make it, more often. I believe the idea was if you wanted to have a meeting, make the announcement and see what the response is. Joel, please correct me if I am mistaken.

So, if you're gonna have lunch at someplace on the weekend and have an hour or two around that time to catch up with your DTR buddies, post it and have yourself a "mini" DTR meeting. The only issue with this, is alerting everyone. I don't know that sending out mass email will be approved of (Joel?), so members will need to just keep an eye on this forum for threads of mini-meetings in your area.

Perhaps we should have a mini meeting at the Richmond RV show tomorrow morning. I know Butch will be there.

Yep have to agree. The Va Diner was nice. I’ve driven by there and always meant to try it out. Well the food was good and the company was even better. It was good to put faces with the names. Really enjoyed meeting everyone. Look forward to the June/July meet.
Hey Stamey ya don’t look anything like your avatar.

Really enjoyed the meet today. Hope everyone else did. Thought the certificates thing would add a little differenet touch and hope everyone enjoyed that too. Thanks to butchera for printing them up and to my wife for stopping by the dollar store and picking up the really expensive frames too.

As far as future meetings, you guys don't need me to set up a meeting. Just post a date and a location and time in this section and go for it. Tim mentioned something about meeting at his place so he could get his truck up on the lift for anyone that wanted to see his fuel system. I'll start a thread for a meeting on on that date and lets see where it goes.

Pics will be posted soon as Dennis starts a category for them.
My computer won't do it.

Thumbs up Good Day!

I had a good time meeting some new faces and chatting with all the folks I haven't seen in a while. I've added a category in the Photo Gallery for anyone to put pics of the day's meet in. I think I have got it set so that any of our members can upload their pics. let me know if you have any problems and I'll get it straightened out. Go to Members Photos,,,, click on DTR Chapters,,,,,,,,, click on Virginia VADTR chaper #7,,,,,, and you will see the link for the 2/14/04 meet *Just remember to choose the correct category when you upload each photo.*

BTW,,,,,,, I got home and fell asleep on the couch watching the 6:00 news and didn't wake up till 10:00 this morning! I'm rested up for the Daytona Race now.

Tried to load some pictures..... man that's a confusing photo gallery. But then it's not too far fetched to believe that it's just operator error.

Anyway, couldn't load 'em.

Two of them went through just fine Joe. They won't appear after you upload them until one of the Admins goes into the program and approves them. You can load them to your own gallery and then I can move them if you want,,,,, if that will make it any easier (however, they still have to go through the approval process)

Just let me know. It's not that bad after you get used to it.

By the way, you guys did nothing to help my abnormal affection for my truck. You just made me love it more, or maybe that was your goal.
(I like everyone else's truck too)
