I wouldn't worry too much, they'll understand stuff like "as soon as you top the rise, watch for the broken tree and turn left, then the first right after the cemetery" etc...

And I do the same thing. I have a friend who's convinced that I drive by what he calls "dead reckoning." So he deliberately gives me vague instructions any time I drive to see him, just to see if I can find him or not. So far, I have.

We once had a city police officer chase a stolen car out into the county on teh dirt roads... he was totaly lost and actually called in that they were turning left " at the brown cows"...
He was shocked that we knew where he was.....

I had a grand-dad attempt to give me directions to his grandson's house so I could interview this young lad for the Navy.

Grampa knew a few of the highway numbers, none of the street names and didn't know they even had a house number !!

He gave me various landmarks to watch for and marked the distances in "Farsees". I asked him what the heck is a farsee ? .... "about as far as you can see ... that's ONE farsee" .

Then he goes on and on for another ten minute disertation on Ozark directions` only to find out that he was mistaken ... "Them was the directions to MY house ... not my grandson's ...." .

Needless to say ... the young man never made it into the Navy (I couldn't find him !!).

I'd think it would be a good idea with that size of group. Even though 3:00 isn't normally that busy of time.

I would strongly advise it ... the place isn't really big enough to take the chance. It gets busy ... I'd hate to see us have to wait.

I'd be the first one to hit the bait section on my way to land one of those HUGE bass they have in the aquariums downstairs !!! Then we'd be off to the BBQ section to do an OPTEST on one of the gas grills.

If you would like for Mrs. Pistol to make some calls for food or if anyone needs motel reservations just lemme know .... she listens to me once in a while .

Yeah .... that's my fan club !!!

Actually haven't met two of the young folks that will be coming. The wife is hosting a couple foreign exchange students for the school year, one from Korea and one from Bolivia.

I'll give her a ring when she wakes up and have her make the call.

There will be 2 of us in my truck.

Also, my sister in law might be our waitress. She applied for a job at Hemmingway's and is probably starting next week.

This is a diesel get-together, right? I guess I could show off and tow the Jeep and other Dodge up there on my 36 foot trailer.

No, I'm just bringing the diesel.

I have an 8' trailer, so that pretty much limits me to the lawn tractor...
