Sorry guys, wont be able to make this one.
Dont worry about the number who show up... quality over quantity.

I've ate at this Hemmingways a few times ... not too shabby. You can eat off of the menu or they have a decent buffet as well. For those that like alligator ... they have it also (I didn't care for it).
The Bass Pro Shop is humongous and there is a huge nature museum right next door. I haven't been in there yet but my kids say it is pretty neat.

There is also Lamberts resturaunt (home of the throwed rolls) 10 minutes south, down in Ozark, Mo. They are usually filled to capacity with the Branson tour buses but the food is great.

Djgaston ... I don't know what getting "mud butt" at Hooters is ... but I am sure that it would be pretty entertaining to watch .

I think this will be a great get together .... finally get to put faces with names. Like meeting movie stars !!!

Mrs. Pistol wanted me to put out the invite to anyone wanting to come to the house (about an hour east of Springfield). You are all welcome to come out. Got a nice long honey-do list !!!! hehehehe

See ya there ... wherever "there" is.

Lamberts= That place is bad for you. To many trips there will have me trading in my 2500 for a 3500. A hunting buddy of mines son works there. During the 05 deer season he provided the deer camp with fresh rolls. We didn't touch anything else in the coolers until the rolls were gone. Delish.

You got that right .... the fried okra, the taters, rolls, oooooooohhhh

I almost had a heart attack the first time one of the waiters hurled a roll over my head to the lady behind me. It was almost ON ... wife knew what was happening and just laughed.

This ought to be interesting ... my wife and kids are hosting a foreign exchange student from Korea. Maybe we can get him infected with the diesel bug and start a DTR chapter in Korea .

I voted Bass Pro and Saturday because that is my only day off. And Bass Pro has a huge parking lot where we can stand around and kick tires, and then go inside and spend some money. Bass Pro is like Toys R Us for big kids. Do they sell diesel performance parts?

That's what everybody has voted for so far, so I'll mark my calendar.
Is there anywhere in Springfield that has a dyno? Are there any drag strips around there?

The track doesn't open until March. It's in Rogersville. We could see if it Floor It would bring his dyno down but it would probably require one of the local shops in town to allow us to use their facilities unless Ozark Diesel Performance isn't to far away. I'm not sure without looking it up where Rose Bud Missouri is located at.

Hey ... that all sounds great to me !!! Looks like my travel request and leave papers slipped by the boss without a blink ( Either I have him properly trained or he is ready to get rid of me for a while !! )

The only race track that I know of is the Rogersville one (actually not even in Rogersville ... closer to Fordland). Although there is a nice loooong straightaway after the only stoplight in Rogersville ... the Army recruiter and I used to race from there to Norwood in the recruiter G-Jets, until HE got caught .

I'll mark the calendar and look forward to meeting you all !!
