Yeah - with 3 hours of sleep under our belts after thrashing to prep 3 trucks for the dyno the afternoon/evening before until 3AM!

Not sure I can remember everyone's names we met that day.

Convinced a buddy of mine to buy a Smarty for his 07 5.9... He was running on 5 and extremely happy (though he will be running on 3 for mileage/ power compromise so he says), I went for a ride with him and we cranked it to 9! truck has about 1200 miles on it. Went and got on the highway pushin through the gears pretty good, 6th gear RPMs go up not much accel!! thought hmmmm... tried pushing in 6th again and nothing but clutch slip!! lol was pretty funny, way to break in the ol cummins huh??

I think my mileage actually improved going up to level 9, from 3 and/or 5. I just run 9 all the time now.....towing, cruising, whatever....and just watch the EGT gauge and monitor the power output with my right foot.

Bryan, That would be funny if it weren't for the 'Incrementalism' at work!
Today a notification letter...next yr a ticket with a fine!

Speaking of tickets.... I get to go to court tomorrow! Practiced my humble & repentant look all weekend

Ole' Red is still doing fine in the mountains. Mileage is not as bad as I thought it would be. 13.3 running 65/70 coming across Texas and New Mexico. A little over 14 in slight mountains and had to turn the Smarty down to 3 to keep the EGT's in check. The last check was 15.3 with mostly down hill in third and fourth.

Got George taken care of in a beautiful valley in south central Colorado. I'm sure he's happy to be back where he's wanted to be for the past 15 years and is now with his wife and one of his sons.

We stayed in an older 5 bdrm house in Stonewall that was really neat. The only problem was having to shoo the bears away every afternoon and evening. In Breckenridge, we stayed in a fairly new, modern log duplex. Five bdrms spread across 4 different levels. Very nice.........

Every one else started home Friday, and I went on to the Western Slopes to visit some friends. Saturday morning Skip and I took his horses up to the high country to the area where I hunt up here. It sure looks different in the summer than it does in the dead of winter. Still beautiful in either season. Sunday, we went up to Aspen to see a house he's been working on for over a year now (he's a master carpenter). Nice, little 10K + sq/ft, three level place that will go on the market for about $13 million next week. The quarter acre lot costs $2 million. They fully expect it to sell on the 4th of July weekend when a lot of people are in town. They sell $6/7 million homes as soon as they are finished, if not before. Most of them are only used for weekends and and maybe a ski trip in the winter. Needless to say, there's a LOT of money in that little mountain town.

I'm at another friends house for a couple of days, then it's on to the fishing holes on the return trip.

Glad the bears didn't get ya!
Don't hurry home...nothing here but more rain! We got another inch this am and forcast calling for more everyday through the weekend!!

Pretty good mileage for that weight...no ?

Bet Redline gets CNX'ed again! As much as I don't care for 1/8 mile tracks, I was going to run there with new injectors... try and better my previous best of 83 mph ET.

Redline is no good for me on the 30th. I've got a customer upgrading that weekend, so I'm on call. Can't be too far from the phone and high-speed internet access in case anything goes wrong.

Which is fine, considering I'll be in my garage putting new rear axles in my Grizzly this weekend anyhow. Then I just have to find a place to test it out to make sure I won't break these right away like the stockers.
