Truck starting in Second gear

What would be the main cause of my truck starting in second gear? Is it going to be solenoids or could there be another reason.
Also just checked codes and got a P1763 and a P1693.
I am no where here the internet, so if someone can help with this I would appreciate it.

Thanx

Oddly enough it worked fine on the way home.
Not sure if the problem will return, but if it does I think I am going to throw a couple solenoids at it and see what happens.

John contact HTS and see what they think it is. Maybe they will send you a couple solenoids.

Actually never had to do anything with it. When I restarted the truck after sitting an hour, the problem did not return and has not shown any symptoms since that time.
I know it usually solenoids... inexpensive and easy to do...

I've been driving mine more and more here. Last weekend on a trip to harpers ferry it didnt act up once. Today running around town after maybe 3hrs of running it would do it. If I manually downshift, it never actted up. So I guess I'll be ordering some solinods and a filter. One plus is, I'll hopefully have my concrete poured this weekend for my 12k 4 post lift to go in. So no more laying on the
ground!
