New from da UP, eh!
So ya, I'm a yooper, born bred, not one a dem posers out der dat jus moved 'ere for college donchya know.
Anyways, I drive a Chevy and it is not a diesel.
When I was growing up one of the farms that I worked for has a 2nd gen cummins with a 5 speed and duallies that I spend a lot of time driving and I've always really loved them. So now that I'm older and looking at getting my first non-hand-me-down truck I'm trying to find something that will outlast me and the closest I've come up with for my intended use and what I like is the the 89-93 D250 diesels. The next logical step (before purchasing one) I decided was to join a forum and get all of the questions concerning axles and transmissions as well as body modifications and where to find one to buy.
So, that's why I'm here and if I contribute something useful or helpful to someone else along the way all the better!
Also, anyone else on here in the U.P., I'm not big on offroading or drinking but I'm pretty useful around the shop and would be happy to shoot the crap (or clays) with just about anyone any time. I'm in the Marquette area but I have family in Esky and the family farm is in Menominee county so I'm around.
