4th Gen Floridian 1st Gen HyperMiler

1st Gen 2wd 5spd 91 noi/c - MPG mindset (Diesel ONLY) - Grass roots +30MPG diesel only project here. Hope to find other 1ST GENs striving for high DIESEL MPG - Past high MPG (diesel only) thread info would be real helpful. Any other Hyper's out there? Thanks DTR!

Yep. I'm sure you have the tires aired all the way up, but are you running 215/85's with a highway tread? Lose the tonneau, they hurt the aerodynamics. Find a 3.07 rear axle out of a '89-'91 3 speed auto truck. Get a Gear Vendors overdrive if you can afford it. Bump the pump timing 1/8". Free up the intake and exhaust to reduce pumping losses.
