who else loves their 3rd gen and has no intention of getting a 4th gen
I'll start... my 2006 has almost 87,000 miles on it, stock engine, all I ever have to do is put fuel in it and change the oil, and it gets 18-20 MPG all day every day. it's loud, shakes and vibrates at idle, is almost paid for and will be the first truck I've ever actually owned, and I want to keep it until the wheels fall off. the new trucks are mean looking, just for entertainment value I looked at what slightly used 2010s were selling for and
lovemytruck. that's all. 3rd gen Rams are the greatest trucks ever made. who's with me. only complaint is I feel like I'm working on a navy ship keeping the bumpers, axles, wheels painted with the PA road salt

just recently i have been plagued with a abundance of issues. but all the issues are normal wear and tear. The past 4 months i have basicly replaced my entire front end (when i get my hubs done this weekend, it will be the entire front end) Other than that my exhaust brake blew the seam of my exhaust so i am in need of a new exhaust now.
But i have no intentions of replacing it, like i said, it has all been normal wear and tear items that have been failing. planning of keeping this thing until duct tape cant hold it together anymore.

Mine is the best vehicle I've ever owned, period. I wish it had a G56 and an exhaust brake, but at 210,000 miles it runs better than new. It has moved so much equipment around town and over the mountains, and gone on so many adventures, that I just could not be where I am today without it.
It would be fun to have a new one, but this truck will be with me for a long time to come. The thought of the new emissions equipment and reduced mileage, not to mention the initial cost, makes me like mine even more.

Love the new style and interior, hate the smog crap and the $$$, is there a way to drop a '10 body/interior onto my '06 chassis? Mine will be MINE for in 10 months. 70k miles of fun so far.

I am very pleased with mine as well. Still a little ways from being paid for, but I am looking to speed that up, then I can turn the payment money into mod money. In fact my only gripe is that they do not come from the factory with a complete set of gauges.
I lucked into my early 04 by chance and could not be happier. I really enjoy learning about diesels (mine in particular) and a lot of that learning takes place at DTR. In fact, just about everything I know about my truck has originated from the many thousands of posts on this website.

Advocate of getting the ban button used on him...
I love my 06 and in just a hair over one yrear it will be paid for. The money will then go to more mods when I found this truck I told the wife it is the last truck I am going to buy. I am 100% happy with it but like said above, some factory gauges would have been nice!

I have way too much wrapped up in aftermarket... can't get rid of it now. I still have a lot I want to do with it. In the next year or so, it's probably not going to be my daily driver anymore.

Love mine. The best feature is that ti is paid for in full for a year now. Now I'm in the process of putting studs, injectors and a turbo on it so it will be good to go for another couple years without any issues.
