I washed my truck today, did the usual except washed the engine compartment with simple green and light spray from a garden hose. I let it sit for about and hour hopped in and started it. All was well until I stepped on the gas pedal. The engine did nothing until I floored it. Then it would accelerate very slowly. I checked for codes, only one p2121(P2121 Pedal Position Sensor 1 Performance / Rationality). I’m pretty sure that I got the connector wet some were. How can I dry it out and were is it? I did a search and found nothing. Please help thanks.

my guys do it all the time with the ferds at work, they presure wash inside the cab and always wet the connector, under the dash next to the pedal should be a connector with wires running from near the pedal, disconnect and see if its wet, wire dryer should help otherwise check under the hood for other wet connectors/ also check fuses, could have blown one too.

Nothing wet inside the cab. Can't find were the other end of the connector is in the engine compartment. The one by the pedal is fine. Thanks

It was the main wire plug on the firewall, just to the right of the motor, drivers side . The plug is about three inches square and lots of wires. I looked at the plug and noticed four or five little blue plugs in empty wire holes. One of the blue plugs was missing, so when I cleaned my engine compartment water made its way inside. After opening and blowing it out with compressed air it’s fixed. I filled the missing plug hole with silicone. My truck is only two months old and I’d bet it came that way from the factory. Any body reading this might want to look at theirs see if there is any small plugs are missing
