Stock 04.5. automatic. I got a code last night when starting and tried to clear it but it comes back. I am going to check the wire issues today. Can I drive it like this? I read that you can bypass the wg, is this good? Can I put a fooler inline so the light goes off. Should I get the right part from Dodge? Thanks for any replies.

 

code P0243-WASTEGATE PRESSURE CONTROL PW, change #5 wastegate control valve

Turn the Ignition on, engine not running.
Disconnect the Wastegate Control Valve harness connector.
Connect an incandescent test light across the supply and driver pins at the
Wastegate Control Valve harness connector.
NOTE: The ECM will perform a self check of the circuit after approximately
30 seconds, which should light the incandescent test light.
Does the light illuminate brightly after 30 seconds of being connected?
Yes ! Replace the Wastegate control valve.
No! Check for broken wires
