Getting p0480 (cooling fan) and p0243 (wastegate pressure) codes.

I have owned this truck, see sig, for a couple of weeks and it was stock when I purchased it. I loaded my Smarty on it the same day I bought it and have only had it on setting 5. Today I installed a boost and egt gauge. During the first drive I got 2 codes: p0480-cooling fan 1 control circuit and p0243-wastegate pressure control pwm. When I rolled on the throttle I was only making 24-25 psi. I thought that it might be the Smarty causing the codes, even though it hasnt over the past 2 weeks, so I removed it. With the truck back to stock I still got the same codes and the same boost levels.

During the research I conducted my problem seems that it might be a bad wastegate solenoid.

Would a bad wastegate solenoid cause the cooling fan code as well? Do you guys have any other ideas or things that I should look for?

Thanks in advance...

I just got the same code on my truck. No mods either. Later in the day check engine light went out. Any possible idea other than wire or fan blade/clutch?

P0480 comes and goes on my truck. Has been doing it for the past 3 years. I ignore it since the Fan works like it should.

Sorry, don't have an answer for the P0243.

Mine fan code has been showing for a couple of years and works just fine. As for the waste gate, just clamp off the rubber inlet hose. Ran this way for about 70,000 miles with no issues.
