turbo rings how to take them off

just wandering if and how to take off the rings of my turbo to make it soud better

If you look close you can see a ring around the outside edge of the crome , about an 1/8" and follow around till you find 2 ears with holes or notches that you can get ahold of with a pick or, small screw driver and pry inwards and pull out of grove, then you should be able to just tip the crome ring out, go to the user cp and fill in the info on your truck so that we can help with ?.

You can see the ends of the snap ring at about the 7-8:00 position.

it looks to me like it would make your turbo less effective. The rings look like they serve more purpose then just noise reduction.

It does, doesn't it?
However, it doesn't. Dyno runs have been made to prove it. The TAG is supposed to make it more efficient.

Me thinks that was to easy to figure out

So should I keep mine in or take it out with the ring? I did open the airbox up in the bottom but see no need for more noise and no gain.
