trying to go home to mutch smoke!!!!! and cruse not workin

hey guys I drove down to ft Bragg north Carolina and towed my sisters car down so she could re register it ( long story) well last weekend we put my new ddp 75hp injectors in my bully dog super b turbo and a new 4" exhaust. it feels amazing but here’s the deal while going up hills or just trying to excelorat I have had a problem spooling the turbo and it just pours black smoke out other times it works great but if I lay into it trying to go up a hill and I don’t already have the turbo spooled it just pours out black smoke and it’s like the turbo doesn’t want to spool. If anyone has any suggestions I am headed over to the automotive facility first thing in the morning to try and tweak some things any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

next thing my cruis control isnt working i have i think a vacume line that is disconected it runs from my axel to a clip under my air box and then has what looks like a coupler on it but it just ends any one know where the other end comes from or what i should look fore

Do you have gauges? What was your boost pulling those hills? Sounds like a boost leak that was causing you to be way overfueled under a load.

Are you looking at the vacuum line, or the axle vent? The vacuum line would just be a piece of hose with no end on it, or a basic cap. The axle vent is a larger hose and has a vent on it to keep out water/debris.

ok so i am home now um if i let off the pedal and then step on it when my rpm's went up i could build up to 25lbs of boost but if i was in traffic and couldent build up speed and was in tc lock up when i just step on the pedal a little bit i would just smoke everyone out and it wouldent build up boost but if i let of on the pedal and stomped on it it would smoke for a second and then the boost would shoot up to 10 to 20 psi and i would have no smoke problems

on the cruis ya i was looking at the axel vent so no i am totaly lost on why my cruis isnt working

The line from the AFC to the manifold could be disconnected or kinked.
Check the line that goes over the top of the engine to the wastegate as well.

Could also be the AFC diaphragm is cracked.

Only way is to remove the back of the pump. The diaphragm is under $10 from Cummins.

These instructions for installing AFC springs will get you there but ignore most of it> http://www.tstproducts.com/pdffiles/AFC-KIT8.pdf

I'm curious, if the afc is not functional, does it give it full fuel then? Why I ask is that I always had mine plugged on my 97. Maybe this doesn't make sense, I have thought about it for the last few minutes and have just made myself more confused and figured it would be easier to ask.

I moved my #100 fuel plate back to stock the star wheel back to the center of the hole and adjusted the smoke screw so that is was just touching and then backed it off 2 rotations and it’s still rolling smoke for 2 seconds before it clears up and then when the tc locks up it smokes again what do I need to do I feel like I am detuning my pump way more than I should have two to manage the smoke so i will have to check the diaphragm tommarrow
