The hammer is so that you can place it on top of the cross member, forget to move it and have it crash down on your head when you least expect it.

You think that was a pain, try doing one with a np205 hooked on. Check my gallary alittle later when the pics are approved.

You guys with the aluminum TC have it easy, it took 2 of us to wrestle the np205 off and back on again, plus someone to take care of the bolts. And that was out from under the truck, I would never do it underneath again unless I had too, almost got hurt putting it in about a year ago, had trouble holding it on a trans jack.
