Ok, will start from scratch. Took my 06 2500 QC Diesel auto tranny
to dealer because of recall 06v038000 in the fall of 07. 2 weeks later interior lights would not work. ( this is a business truck time is money) waited 6 months to return to dealer. Reflashed commutor and every thing seemed to be ok. 2 months later while in drive and at a red light truck idles up and wants to lurch forward. next day I take it to the dealer and thay say the torque converter has gone bad. now here we are 1400 miles later and we are having problems shifting out2nd to third, keeps going back and forth until you let off throttle and will shift. no problems in higher gears. dealer replaced throttle valve actuator and we still have a problem. they just want to keep throwing parts at it, I need some real help. THANKS!

 

Are you sure it's 2nd to 3rd shift?

This bulletin involves the replacement of the governor pressure solenoid valve in the
transmission valve body.

2004 - 2007 (DR/DH/D1) Ram Truck (2500/3500)
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience a 1-2 shift transmission hunt during light throttle application.
This condition may be due to a governor pressure solenoid valve

 

well I tried that today, no luck. still having the same problem. I am giving up, a new tranny will be on its way tommorrow. Thanks for your help
