is throttle sensor screwed
is throttle sensor screwed
have 03 3500. just replaced tranny and majority of front end. never in accident. now when i put in gear engine makes noise and have to really hold brake or truck goes. gets up to 30 without touching throttle. whats wrong now? tranny again? throttle sensor? any ideas what i can do. have to go to work out of town befor i can get to shop. truck runs fine once let off brake.
I would suspect the throttle valve cable is forcing the throttle linkage open a bit. That is a transmission valve body failure if the truck starts and runs fine in park or neutral and then revs up when you put it in drive.
i checked for the code. p0633 came up, problem with skim key. just had command start put in. must have something to do with, hopefully. will talk to the guys who installed it. hope thats it.
the code for skim key is not what the problem is like i thought. rear of truck lifts when i put in gear and rpms only slightly move but go back to normal. sounds like motor is under lot of stress until i let of brake. help. i gotta go 600km to work in the am and not able to find a mechanic until its to late
