Throttle Rod

I needed to replace the short throttle rod at the pump since the previous owner cobbled it up pretty bad. I ordered the new rod (part number 05011959AB) from the local Dodge Dealer but when it came the short rod had one left hand thread and one right hand thread ends but sockets were both threaded for the right (normal) end. Where do I find the correct ends and I can't reuse the old rod since the shmuck welded the ends?

The dealer will have the correct ends in stock. Just take the new rod with you when you visit the parts department.

RCW, I spent about an hour and a half w/parts man. After much describing and explaining I got him to understand the situation and his solution was to go to the local "fit all tractor parts store", and buy generic throttle ends. I have yet to see any aftermarket no-name throttle ends threaded 1/4 inch let alone lefties. You wouldn't happen to have part numbers?? Thanks

If you find yourself parting out a Craftsman garden tractor w/hydrostatic drive, snag the linkage first--it's way better than the factory dodge stuff!

Go to your nearest Bobcat skidsteer dealer, and tell them that you need control cable ends for the r/h steering cable on an 853H skidsteer.

These units, if I recall correctly are threaded both right and left, depending on which end you get, and are 1/4".

They should also be relatively cheap.

Good Luck
