Question starting issues

ok, i changed my oil and fuel filter the other week and started having issues. truck started on the first or second lick up till i changed my filter. at first i thought i might have messed up the "o" ring and was letting air in, so i changed it out and tried agian. it takes forever to start when it's been sitting for about 15-30 min. if i shut it off and try to start it within 15 min it start right up.

now here's whats really bothering me, this morning i went out to start it it fired right up . not seeing a fuel leak, drained my water sep. i'm runn' out of ideas, oh and not showing any codes

could it be the map sensor, or a relay thanks

You may try bleeding off some of the air from the filter change. I know I had some of the same symptoms when I changed my fuel filter, I simply bled the air out of the filter and was good to go after that.
I dont really have much experience with the newer trucks but I can still shoot ya some Ideas. I am hoping someone else will chime in and help ya more.

most 24 valvers without gauges don't know they have a problem until they change the fuel filter and then find out that thier LP is toast or is on its way out, the vp44 will continue to pull the fuel when the lp quits causing it to go out also. It could be air getting in but you should check your fuel pressure and make sure your LP is working properly.

if I were you I would get the fp guage today! as plow said, you likely had a dead lp and the vp was pulling fuel on its own....not so good when you swap out the filter, or drain the seperator it loses prime and the lp does not pump enough to get it going again.

when i drained the seporator and kicked the pump on it was pumping more than enough fuel through the lines. but i finally got my gauges at the house, so here in the next day or two i'll be able to put then on
